Properties

For patients who are being treated with radiation therapy and chemotherapy, who often reject lactic diets (smoothies, yoghurt, etc.), but have a good tolerance to presentations made of pineapple and orange.

Indications

It is appropriate for the dietetic treatment of patients with manutrition- related symptoms, pre and post operations, gastrointestinal surgery, X-ray exams of the digestive tract, radiation and cytostatic therapies.
As well in the transition from parenteral to enteral nutrition, digestive system fistulas and certain hypermetabolic conditions such as traumatisms, serious burns, multiple fractures and sepsis, maldigestion and malabsorption, short bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel diseases including Crohn’s disease and pancreatic insufficiency.

Instructions for use – Dose

6 daily sachets must be given in case of being used as the only nutrition source. At this dosage, nutritional deficiencies have not been detected, even for long term dietetic treatments. 6 sachets provide 2,300 kcal and 15 g of high biological value of nitrogen.
Therefore, it covers the daily adult nutrition requirements.
For the total dose, the hypercatabolic states must be taken into account.

Recomendations

This food must be used under medical supervision.
This product is appropriate to be used as the only source of food.
Administer it via feeding tube or orally.
Do not give to breast-fed babies and children under 3 years old.
It is not suitable for diabetics and milk or soy intolerant patients.
